Benjamin is a recent graduate from UBC Law who is starting his career with the firm as an articled student.

Through both work experience and academic research, Benjamin has developed a strong interest in all forms administrative and regulatory law. His academic work in law school had a particular focus on environmental and natural resource law, as well as the law as it pertains to land use and development.

Benjamin also has a strong interest in professional regulation. This comes as a result of a summer placement with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia, where he worked on a project seeking to reform the regulatory body's bylaws and governing legislation.

Being particularly interested in the human dimension of law, Benjamin has also done volunteer work in the past with a variety of local organizations including the Vancouver Refugee Services Alliance and Pivot Legal Society, and sat on the City of Vancouver's Family Court and Youth Justice Advisory Board.

Benjamin is a native speaker of English, but also professes to speak Spanish, Swedish and French at varying levels of proficiency.

Personal interests: Benjamin's interests include photography, music, writing, literary translation, cycling and any and all outdoor activities. He is also an avid traveller, having spent significant time exploring such countries as England, France, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Cuba, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Japan and the Philippines.
