Rachel is a scholar whose preferred areas of research include reproductive health law, labour law and constitutional law. She joined Michael in 2000 and expanded the firm’s clientele from western Canada to include clients in Eastern Canada.

Rachel articled with the United Steelworkers of America and was called to the Ontario bar in 1993. She obtained her Masters of Law from Queen’s University, and obtained her Doctorate of Law from the University of Toronto in 2001. Rachel is currently teaches at Lakehead University in Ontario and conducts research on a consulting basis.

Rachel has published articles dealing with the ethics of reproductive technology, and assisted in the development of Fiduciary Duties in Canada. Her most recent publications can be found in the Canadian Journal of Women and the Law and the Canadian Journal of Law and Society. She is currently researching the effects of legalization on midwifery in Ontario, and legal registration of genetic parenthood.
